ADI have been working hard throughout the start of the year and are starting to reap the rewards.
It’s been a busy start to the year for our multidisciplinary team here at ADI. With pilot projects underway in two orchid greenhouses, the operational team have been pulling their socks up (and not just because of the cold weather) to ensure data collection and greenhouse mapping has been running effectively and delivered on time for growers.
Co-founders Lucien and William attended the opening day of the YES!Delft Accelerator Program on Tuesday, meeting and introducing themselves to the staff and other startups that made it through the thorough selection process. It was a very positive day for all involved, ADI are really looking forward to sinking their teeth into the Accelerator Program….and some more complimentary sushi!
In the meantime, our research and development team have been diligently improving our state-of-the-art robotic platforms to collect data. We have recently made a software breakthrough in terms of interpreting and presenting our data, drastically reducing the time required to extract data from our drone footage. This allows us to deliver our bespoke greenhouse maps to growers quicker. On top of this, we are currently preparing to pitch this technology to growers this week, something we’re very excited about.
We are also pleased to announce that we are currently closing a deal with our first paying customer for our services after a very successful trial period. This is great news to all of the team here at ADI, but especially to our founders who have been committed to ADI since it’s conception back in their student days in 2015. The hard-work is paying off and this will hopefully be a sign of things to come in what we believe will be a prosperous 2019.
