The horticultural sector is booming, with innovation and sustainable developments taking centre stage more and more. The Inholland Hortitech Symposium 2020 will take place on January 23 host five speakers from the field, including ADI’s Maartje Bakker. She will present the startup’s goals and ambitions for the coming year, especially with a focus on disease detection among crops and germination analysis.
The other four speakers will be:
- Woody Maijers, lecturer in Integrated Food and Production Chains and Innovation Pact project leader for Greenport West-Holland;
- Sadiq van Overbeek who works for PHYSEE and has previously collaborated with TU Delft on the development of a coating for glass, which can generate up to 7.5% more PAR light;
- Liesanne Wieleman: from Thermeleon, where she is working on the development of a PCM application (Phase Change Materials) suitable for greenhouse;
- Hans Belt who works for 30MHz BV, specialists in the application of sensors with a linked data platform.
